Tiziana is a high school family studies teacher and a first-generation Italian-Canadian. Her main research interests focus on early childhood education and child development. Her Masters’ thesis study examined the differences between parents and teachers about early learning activities and learning outcomes before and during Junior Kindergarten. This research has been presented at numerous education and home economics conferences such as HICE, ICSEI, and IFHE. Her secondary research interests include language acquisition and language in social contexts. She is currently involved in a “Linguascaping the City” project which explores the use of language in specific neighbourhoods in the city of Toronto.
