Semiofest 2017 Program Announcement!

Friends of Semiofest,

We are pleased to announce the speaker line-up for Semiofest 2017.  This will the first Semiofest to be held in North America, in the cosmopolitan city of Toronto on July 19-22, 2017.

Our conference theme is “Media, Messages and Meanings: Semiotics, form and content” and is inspired by one of Toronto’s greatest thinkers (and perhaps unwitting Semiotician), Marshall McLuhan.

Our keynote speakers are some of the leading Semioticians in North America, including Marcel Danesi, Laura Oswald, Paul Bouissac and Paul Manning.

Our other presenters hail from around the world, including India, France, Singapore, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, the U.S., Canada, Poland, and the UK.  Presentation topics will range from new models for brand analysis, the semiotics of music, political semiotics, case studies, and more!

Looking forward to greeting you all in person.
