How to Register:

Registering for Semiofest is as easy as 1-2-3.

1. Know Thyself!

  • To support the accessibility of the conference to different groups, Semiofest offers different pricing for: Students, Faculty and Small Practitioners, and Corporate Attendees.  “Small Practitioners” work at companies of 49 people or less.  “Corporate Attendees” work for companies of 50 people or more.

2. Decide how much of Semiofest you can enjoy.

  • Can you attend the full three days?  Then a 3-day pass is for you.  The 3-day pass includes two lunches, a cocktail party on Wednesday evening, and the Friday night party (includes dinner).
  • Only available for a day or perhaps two?  Then you’ll want just the tickets for the days you can make it.

3. Select your add-ons:

  • The Pre-Conference Training Day on Embodied Semiotics led by Professor Jamin Pelkey is ticketed separately.
  • As well, our Semiotic Tour of Kensington Market – to be held on Saturday afternoon – is also ticketed separately.  This tour of one of Toronto’s oldest and most interesting neighbourhoods is not to be missed!  Participants will sample some of Kensington’s culinary delights, and will cover not just the history of Kensington but an exploration of its semiotic richness!
  • Want to bring a spouse or guest to the Friday evening party?  You may buy an extra ticket.
